UK Yoga Retreat · Norfolk · March 29th to 31st 2019 · 2 Nights

I am verrrry exciting to be launching my first weekend, 2 night UK yoga retreat in 2019 at Fishley Hall, Norfolk. Why did I choose this venue? The pretty pictures initially caught by eye (guilty), and through further digging I discovered it is a perfectly equipped retreat venue, set on a gorgeous working farm, amongst 350 acres of nature and easy for people coming from London.

Fishley Hall provides the perfect setting for a weekend away to rejuvenate, yoga-it-up and enjoy the beautiful surroundings with like minded people, whatever ones yoga experience may be.

Although yoga will be a key component of the retreat, it will be about so much more than just doing bendy postures; delicious healthy food, learning  strategies to become more calm & productive back in your everyday lives, making new connections & having amazing conversations with likeminded people. All whilst exploring a new, beautiful part of the UK.

Who Is The Retreat For?


Anyone at any level, who is interested in:

  • Having a chance to put down the phone (however, phones are not banned…and neither is alcohol!) but rather a chance to leave the emails behind, and move your body and breathe deeply instead.
  • Exploring the peaceful & beautiful Norfolk countryside
  • Trying different types of yoga (I mainly teach Vinyasa & Ashtanga styles but also bring in other pieces I’ve learnt on the way!) – I hope that after every class I teach, my students will take away a new ‘nugget’ to improve their practice. For those wanting to learn more challenging postures, I will be offering plenty of opportunities to learn; crows, side crows, headstands, forearm stands, wheel variations and more!
  • Nourish your body with healthy, delicious food, cooked by our Private Norweigan Chef, Lise Aanes.
  • A perfect mix of endorphin boosting activities (yoga/running/walking) and time for the body to rest and rejuvenate – what your body needs to reset and perform at its optimum on return to your everyday
  • A chance to truly slow down and reconnect to yourself and to nature. In the hustle and bustle of everyday life it can be easy for your accomplishments to go unnoticed to yourself, and for your goals to be de-prioritised month after month….this is an opportunity to get back on track!

YOUR INSTRUCTOR: HELENA WILTON


I am a London based yoga teacher, trained in Vinyasa Flow & Ashtanga whilst also working in the world of personal development using Olympic success strategies to help businesses and individuals achieve their goals. My yoga classes combine these personal development themes to help develop minds with a new edge whilst also practising dynamic poses and improving flexibility & strength. For a taster, check out my Youtube channel.

Mornings will involve dynamic ‘Yang style’ poses with very specific and goal orientated aims whereas in the evenings we will be taking it down a notch, doing restorative ‘Yin style’ classes in order to relax and enhance the body’s deep connective tissue. I am experienced working with athletes, office workers and mum’s, whatever your background, I will adapt to fit your needs.

SCHEDULE


(This will probably change slightly but full days on retreat look something like this):


Friday Eve

4 – 5pm: Arrivals

5 – 6pm: Yin & yang combination yoga (dynamic and relaxing 50:50 split)

6.30 – 7pm: Welcome circle – getting to know each other, playing a few games, setting intentions for the retreat ahead

7.30-8.30pm: Healthy & Delicious Welcome Dinner

8.30 – 9.30pm: Read, chat, get an early night if you wish!


Saturday

7.30 – 8am: Fruit, teas, coffee, snacks

8 – 9.15am: Morning Yoga

9.15 – 9.30am: Meditation

9.30 – 10.30am: Breakfast/brunch


11.30 – 3.30pm: FREE TIME, explore via local walks, read, rest, do what you please!

During this time lunch will be available for you…drop by when you please


3.30pm-4.30pm: Optional workshop: juggling/hula hooping

5.30pm – 6.30pm: Yin/Restorative  Yoga

6.30 – 7.30pm: Glass of wine/juice/chill time

7.30pm: Healthy & Delicious Dinner

8.30 – 9.30pm: Read, chat, optional team game

Sunday

7.30 – 8am: Fruit, teas, coffee, snacks

8 – 9.15am: Morning Yoga

9.15 – 9.30am: Meditation

9.30 – 10.30am: Breakfast/brunch


10:30 – 1pm: FREE TIME / optional guided walk

1-2pm: Lunch

3pm: Departures

Meals will be vegetarian, including vegan options, cooked by a private chef, Lisa Aanes, who specialises in yoga retreat catering.

Lise Aanes is a Norwegian plant food advocate living in London. She has studied nutrition and healing diets at the School of Natural Medicine UK, she believes that mindful eating is the key to fight the diseases that are wreaking havoc with our health and with the health of our planet.

Lise will be using locally sourced, fresh ingredients to make our beautiful meals. More info on Lise:

You will never be hungry, and if you ever are, there will be an open fridge that will have snacks and yummy delights for you to eat. Although food will be healthy, don’t worry it will be satisfying…. think homemade granola with yogurt and homegrown fruits, homemade bread, hummus, veggies with tasty dressings, cheesecakes, dahl, guacamole….

Pricing


  • Triple: £375 pp (Note: there is only one triple room on offer)
  • Double: £395 pp
  • Single occupancy: £550 pp

Rooms not described as en-suite share a bathroom with one other room.

You do not have to come with someone to go in a twin or triple room. These will be allocated randomly, unless you request to share with someone.

50% deposit is required to reserve your space. Remaining 50% to be paid at least 8 weeks prior to the retreat.
