This place looks unreal! Some of my friends recently went on a yoga retreat here and came back raving and showing me their incredible pictures…so I have booked mysefl to take a group here in June 2019.

This is an opportunity to revitalise your body and soul with yoga, healthy food, nature and relaxation on the Island of Ithaca. Lots more to explore on the island too – from history to boat trips to kayaking to beach hopping. My plan is to also take people who want to do so, on a guided hike!

OVERVIEW


Join me for a physical, fun and enriching immersion at the beautiful Itha108 yoga & creative resort on the mythical island of Ithaca.

Feel energised each morning in creative and dynamic yang sessions, mastering a new ‘goal’ pose each day (one day it may be a headstand, another a crow pose). For the evenings, we will switch to restorative yin with a focus on relaxation, breathing techniques and deep stretching of our main muscle groups.

Sessions will take place in the retreat’s shala, or in the breeze of the beach below. Between sessions, continue being active with paddleboarding, hiking, visiting local villages or simply chill on the beautiful beach with a book (and possibly margarita) in hand!

Following on from the day of sun, fun and community, dine on healthy, balanced and nutritious meals on the veranda, with the distant hills of Kefalonia as your canvas.

I am a London based yoga teacher, trained in Vinyasa Flow & Ashtanga whilst also working in the world of personal development using Olympic success strategies to help businesses and individuals achieve their goals. My yoga classes combine these personal development themes to help develop minds with a new edge whilst also practising dynamic poses and improving flexibility & strength. For a taster, check out my Youtube channel.

Mornings will involve dynamic ‘Yang style’ poses with very specific and goal orientated aims whereas in the evenings we will be taking it down a notch, doing restorative ‘Yin style’ classes in order to relax and enhance the body’s deep connective tissue. I am experienced working with athletes, office workers and mum’s, whatever your background, I will adapt to fit your needs.

ITHA 108 RETREAT & CREATIVE RESORT


Embrace outdoor living in a retreat overlooking crystal ocean.

Spiritual and soothing, you’ll find Itha108 scattered with Indian Charpoy beds, a pergola and endless corners and hideaways. Beautiful spots for soaking up quiet reflection and lapping Ionian sea views. With an outdoor kitchen and BBQ, your stay will take place outside – under sun and stars – as much as possible.

 

SCHEDULE


(This will probably change slightly but full days on retreat look something like this):

7.30 – 8am: Fruit, teas, coffee, snacks

8 – 9.15am: Morning Yoga

9.15 – 9.30am: Meditation/Breathing Techniques

9.30 – 10.30am: Breakfast/brunch


FREE TIME, explore the island, swim, read, rest, do what you please! There will be lunch served during this time for those who are around at approx 1-2 pm.


5.30pm – 6.30pm: Yin/Restorative  Yoga

6.30 – 7.30pm: Glass of wine/juice/chill time

7.30pm: Dinner

OPTION 1: YURT | 1-2 PEOPLE

In this traditional, Mongolian-inspired structure, the roof can be removed for stargazing at night. Style wise, think vibrant silks and linens, handmade Jungaal beds and Rajasthan tapestry. You’ll share an outdoor bathroom carved into the rocks

OPTION 2: LUXURY YURT | 1-2 PEOPLE

Cabana

Solitary steps lead up to a private terrace with fantastic views over the Ionian ocean. The luxury yurt is decked out in antique furnishings and has its own en suite. Live high in the rocks here, secluded above the trees.

OPTION 3: MAIN HOUSE ROOM | 1-2 PEOPLE

Ensuite

Each room in the main stone house is named, with its own carefully considered identity. Design is characterised by light woods, canopy beds, a terrace and en suite bathroom

OPTION 4: STONE HOUSE STUDIO | 1-2 PEOPLE – SOLD OUT
Natural rock walls

 

Stay close to the outdoor living area in the main building. The studio features a double bed in the living area, an open bathtub and high ceilings. Follow the breeze blowing in from tall French windows and step out into the outdoor shower, perfect for after a swim in the sea.
